Desktop Viewer on Windows Installation Error

Hello, can you please help me with my installation challenge of BIMx Desktop View on my PC. I receive the following error message when trying to install...

I have updated windows to the current version. Attached is the machine specs

If you could help with this I would be grateful

Your system is certainly not out of date!

Was this BIMx installer a part of an overall ARCHICAD installation (what version?) or was it stand-alone?

Have you tried downloading afresh?

Thanks for the reply... I have tried downloading and installing again several times with no luck.
I downloaded from this link on the Graphisoft web site...

http://dl.graphisoft.com/ftp/techsupport/downloads/BIMx/BIMx-2018.2.1534-1.3.exe

Just tried it again - no success!!!

Hello Bill,

I have seen this error message before, but every time the solution was something different... 😕
These are the things definitely worth trying:
  • Make sure nothing else is running while you install. Other processes running in the background (especially anti-virus softwares) can interrupt the installation.
  • Check out the suggestions in this other Topic about a similar issue.
  • There's also a Help Center Article explaining one of the possible causes.
Let me know if any of the suggestions worked.
