Floor Plan cutaway function in Free BIMx viewer

Is there a tutorial on how to use the floor plan cutaway feature of the Free BIMx app? Or can someone explain it? There is nothing on the GS site that explains how this feature works in the FREE app.

You can find a brief hint with an illustration in the Help menu within the BIMx app:

Exploring the 3D model (3/3)
Use cutting plane to cut model horizontally at desired position. Turn on 3D Cutaway, then tap a plane edge or cut surface to select a plane, then drag it. Tap again to deselect.
