poor quality layouts in bimx

cocoloco

hii

I’m testing BIMx for presentations for the first time and I think it’s super cool! However, I noticed that the layouts (floor plans, renderings, and elevations) are showing up in poor quality and with off colors in the BIMx model.

I’m on a Mac, so I used the print settings workaround to save the layouts as a PDF, and there the quality and colors were flawless. But when I save it as bimx hyper model, they appear slightly blurred and darker colors.

Since one of the main goals is to use BIMx for presentations, I’m a bit confused about the poor layout quality.

Is there a way to export or save the layouts in higher quality into the BIMx Hyper-model?

hello, is there any chance that BIMx will start to use vector files instead of those pixelized exports to PDF?

honestly whole thing becomes unusable as a one-click-solution to transfer files

The issue still persist in archicad 29

Hello maybe someone can reply? PDF's are still raster, not vector!

maybe we deserve any reply about this raster pdf thing?!

Unfortunately I have never heard back about resolving this issue, apparently is in the list to check on it but its been months and no progress.

To further explain: I have no other way to save quality pdf on MacBook in archicad other than through Print to accomplish a good quality (nice colors and not blurred elevations, yeah...). I can't do it through standard way like many of these folks through publish set. Reason is, the quality is extremely poor for elevations, and especially renderings (darker colors etc) so I have to go through file > print instead.

Now, when I save project for BIMX (Publish BIMx Hypermodel) ... the quality and look of the renderings/elevations etc is EXACTLY poor and it has exact look as I would save it through Publish set. (instead the nice quality if I would go through file/print). Which makes me think that the BIMX is opening the file through the standard archicad way and does not account for MacBook users who have to go through unreasonable way of workaround to save file in high quality...
