RECONNECT AUTOTEXT LABELS ACROSS STORIES

If i have an object that extends into multiple stories and I pull data out of the object in story 1 with a label, and then i copy and paste this label from story one to story two, is there anyway to reconnect the label to the object. I know I can recreate the label for scratch, but i have lots of labels and the problem is the same in section and elevation.
Does anyone have thoughts on this?

in AC21 if I am not mistaken when you copy/paste a Label with the label selected you can Opt? (MacOS is CMD) click to a new element and it will associate with it.

I believe in Windows it is select the label then CTRL-click on the element you want to associate it to.
I don't have Archicad in front of me at the moment but I am pretty sure that is correct.
