3D OBJECTS LIST

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi:

I'm creating a furniture list but some the 3D view of the objects in the list doesn't really show the best angle of some of them.

Please see the image attach.

I've tried modifying the origin of the object but didn't work.

Is there any way to rotate this view?

Thanks.

I think you will find that your object has been scripted with this as its default rotation.
i.e. when placed with a 0 degree rotation in plan, this is what it will look at.

As far as I know the schedule just uses the default 0 degree rotation view of the object as the 'front' view.
So the only way to change this is to edit the script for the object.
Probably not something you would want to do to default Graphisoft or 3rd party objects, as you will have to repeat the fix if you ever update them.

The fix is very easy though.
At the beginning of the 3D script you just need to add ...

if GLOB_VIEW_TYPE = 9 then
	ROTz 180
endif

Change the angle of rotation to suit what you want.
I just tested it to be sure and it does work.

You would need to do similar in the 2D script for the 2D view as well.
