Artlantis Screen Layout

Hi All,

I am absolute newbie at Artlantis and ArchiCAD and have so far had great assistance with my other queries.

Using Artlantis Studio 2, when trying to open the catalogue it covers the whole screen and I am unable to see the actual project I am trying to work on. This is making it impossible (i think after 16 hrs of trying to work it out) to drop and drag shaders, backgrounds etc.
Is there anyway of resizing the catalogue screen so it sits at the bottom of the screen like the comps at uni? Other than that, without resizing is there another way to drop and drag as it won't cut and paste

Please help....

It is time you told us about your system and software: Use your signature.

You get quicker answers that way.

I have never seen this problem:

On the Mac, you pull the lower right hand corner to resize the window..

On PC, try closing and re-opening it .

Renee,

I have moved this thread into the "Other Products" forum from the "Data Exchange" forum, where it did not belong.

Do note that Abvent has their own Artlantis forums for discussing Artlantis.

If you have Artlantis questions that you want to ask here, they belong either here, or in the Presentation - Rendering and Multimedia forum.

Your other post in the Data Exchange forum on ArchiCAD-Artlantis-Photoshop was OK... except then you asked a question in the same post about 3D sections. That question belonged in the Working in ArchiCAD forum.

Please keep each thread to one topic and post in the forum that seems most appropriate to the question.

(I'm writing all of this in a public post as a reminder for other new users.)

Thanks,
Karl

Hi,

Sorry about wrong placement of post, wasnt sure where it was meant to go.

Re: Artlantis Screen Layout.
I have tried dragging corner, closing and reopening and uninstalling and reinstalling and same layout still opening. I think i hae added the system information to my signature, hopefully it appears and is the right information.

Cheers

This problem sometimes occured with our students: for some reason dialogs get move offscreen.

I happened to me with SketchUp too. I believe after updates to my graphics card driver (actually, tried a Windows update on the driver page, which rolled back the driver to an old version! After that a re-install, but somehow the position of my two screens was modified).

So I had to clean up the stored window positions in the registry.

It is sometimes possible using this trick:
(only on Windows)

When you open a dialog that is modal (meaning, you have to exit it to continue working) that is offscreen, press ALT+SPACE. Now a small window opens (system menu) with the MOVE option. Select with the arrows the MOVE option and press ENTER. Now the Window is tied to your mouse.

Then you move the window using one of the arrow keys, which enforces it's placement at least back inside the visible screen and THEN use the mouse to move it further around.
