AutoCAD 2010 unsupported DXF/DWG file format

What's the solution to to the unsupported (or as the message reads - "unsupperted") DWG file message?

I'm the solo ArchiCAD user in an office of AutoCAD users - this isn't helping my argument that ArchiCAD is the way forward!

Please help!! ;o)

Sorry to say the only solution is to save back to a supported format. Fortunately this is not a problem with AutoCAD. (Revit cannot save back to the previous version.) There will always be a lag with programs supporting the latest formats from other vendors. This doesn't have to be a major impediment depending on the work flow in the firm.

Autodesk has a free program called DWG TrueView which lets you do the converting:

Cool. Thanks for the tip. Very cool for those who don't have AutoCAD.

Is this link specifically for Windows users?
i realise Autocad is a windows programme and the Dwg documents will initially come from there but im gessing the download would be more for the use of the archicad product, of which mine is a mac version.

Is there a link for a mac version of the download?

Autodesk's CAD programs are Windows only.
So I do not think there is a Mac version of this utility either.
