Change the GUID

Hi everyone

I'm modeling existing buildings in IFC format.

My client uses a software to visualize models and include them in a database for building maintenance.

Among the specifications he's asking for, one is impossible to achieve.

For each project, he wants the IFC Site and building GUID to be unique.

Whatever I try, that GUID stays exactly the same for all my drawings.

Do you have any idea for fixing this ?

Thank you.

It seems that Archicad uses the Project and Site ID (under Project information) as a seed to generate the respective pseudo-random GlobalID, so you have to have a unique project and site ID to get a unique GlobalID for the IfcProject and IfcSite, which is admitedly a bit silly.
