Deleting files from BIMcloud server does not increase free storage space

Hi,

Several times I deleted *.pln files ~10GB from BIMcloud server but it looks like storage space remained same. Maybe BIMcloud not deleting files from server, just hiding them for safety reasons ? How to wipe out these files from server ?

I was not uploading new version of file, just deleted them.

Where did you delete files? If you deleted them from the Manager UI, it will take time to be followed on the BIMcloud Server's side. BIMcloud is an asynchronous program, most of the operations you request happens in a bit of delay, so that the application can make sure all databases are aligned. After a few minutes the worst, all these files should be deleted by the BIMcloud Server as well (but with such large size, it might take longer, especially if you use a slower HDD under BIMcloud).

Hello Noemi,

I deleted files in Browser, it took some several minutes and I got message that files are deleted, but free HDD space still remains same, not reducing for few weeks.

Just investigated that size in storage increased where windows are showing SSD space (This PC in explorer), but its not increasing where BIMcloud manager and server showing in Browser GUI. Free storage space not matching.

I was only checking storage in BIMcloud GUI in browser before.

Might be an issue with your activity database. Try this:
1. Stop BIMcloud manually with the tray icon

2. Delete this folder: C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\BIMcloud\Manager-2022-01-04\Data\monitor-db

3. Restart BIMcloud manually

This will delete old metricas regarding activity, and I believe then BIMcloud should show the right amount of free space again.

Cannot find following folder "C:\Program Files\GRAPHISOFT\BIMcloud\Manager-2022-01-04\Data\monitor-db". Only Temp folder with *.gz files exists there.

I'm not sure why the folder is missing, but let's try another approach. Restart the BIMcloud Manager and check the results again. If no luck, you might contact your local support representative for help.

Restarted both BIMcloud and BIMcloud Manager. Still free space not updating.

Thanks for help 🙂
