Filter Out

For all our Doors, we assign ID thru Element ID Manager "Set to Same ID by Criteria" so that all the doors with the same Width are assigned the same ID and this I use for creating schedules.

But the problem is it is also assigning for empty openings and thus incorrect schedules are prepared. How can I filter out these empty openings?

I tried "Find & Select" but I am unable to figure out a way.

Hence the normal method what I do is I remove the empty doors and insert them after assigning the ID's. This method is logically incorrect as a considerable amount of re work is involved when your project is big.

Can someone tell me the correct procedure or share your method of working in such cases?

Thanks in Advance.

Have you tried setting up list schemes?

Select all empty doorways and ensure they have no ID.

In the 3D window, Find&Select all Empty openings.

Assign empty ID.

Thanks Ben and Djordje.

But the perfect solution I feel is to use the "Marker Text" for doors instead of "ID" in the Door Marker. Use "Find and Select" and assign the same "Marker Text" to the Doors of same Width and list them thru Interactive Schedule.
