Finish Schedule?

Anonymous
Not applicable
For the doors and windows, I've used the lists or schedules in the navigator (and changed up the scheme settings a bit to reflect the info I want to show).

I don't see an option for finishes, though? I've created zones for each space I wish to list in the finish schedule (and each space for which I wish to create interior elevations, but that's another thread), but I can't find the schedule that this generates.

Zones do generate a finish schedule, no? What would I look under to get a schedule that's close to a finish schedule, that I can adapt for my purposes? Can I build a finish schedule?

(the categories of info I'm looking to show in a schedule are: room name, floor finish, n/s/e/w wall finishes, ceiling finish, ceiling height, base molding, crown molding, notes/remarks, and.... a couple other things I'm probly forgetting)

Thank you....

Couldn't the two states of the zone stamp be achieved by making it scale sensitive. For example the smaller version would be drawn at scales of 1:48 and above while the detailed one at scales below.

Unfortunately, only Graphisoft can add MVOs. Unless they make the ability to make your own or add "show finish box in Zones", it's not possible.
I have long wished for a Level of Detail MVO that objects could access via a request function. Far more flexible than scale sensitivity and more ArchiCAD-like since it's part of view settings. In this example it would allow the choice of simplified or detailed zone stamps on plans of the same (or different) scales.

Rengarch,

I just reviewed your Zone Stamp REA_Zone ID r4 along with the related interactive schedule and find it to be some outstanding work.

I think that many users will find this to be the primary approach to scheduling room finishes in Archicad.

So basically, this stamp isolates each room surface so that a material code can be assigned manually in the ZSDB. On the floor plan, the ZS listing box does not necessarily need to be displayed, although displaying it in a floor finish plan may be appropriate. The interactive Room Finish Schedule nicely lists the material codes, which are cross-referenced to a manually created table or legend of coded surface definitions. Very clear, concise and controllable in my opinion. This goes without saying, but the finish codes can easily be edited from within the interactive schedule.

Finally, thanks Geoff for the excellent suggestions for switching on/off the ZS listing box. Not sure how to put your ideas in motion. My idea is illustrated in the proposed attached image. This MVO seems to be handy in defining typical Floor Plans as well as Floor Finish Plan view sets.

I like the schedule you developed and wondered how to obtain a copy of this.
Can you email directly to me at JDC@aol.com/.
Thanks very much,

rengarch,

Attached is an example of what Fred Stitt refers to as "The World's Greatest Finish Schedule." I am very interested in hearing your thoughts at your convenience.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi,
short explanation:
for the xml, you have to "import" it from the "Scheme settings" window.
The gsm file is actually the stamp object associated to the zones. You have to have it loaded in your working library and applied to the zones you want to list in the schedule.

Feel free to ask for details.

In the other side...
I was wondering if it was possible to link to a gsm stamp like this the "associated" materials on the perimeter of the zone. Let me elaborate it:
When on the Zone tool settings you click the option /Model/Inherit Boundary Wall and Trimming Element Materials, the Zone takes the materials of the walls/slabs it is touching. So, Wouldn't be possible to list those surfaces by material on a schedule??
Sounds like something GDL is capable to do, but I have no idea of GDL.

I'm interested in having a look at this finish schedule solution, but can't seem to see where to download it from. Any help please?

Sorry...ignore this; figured it out.

Nando, I added the gsm file to my library but when I open the zone tool is says that the zone stamp is not available in loaded libraries. Hey just figured it out, I had to go into Zone Attributes and select it.

Thanks. It looks great.
