Highlight scheduled objects in 3D model?

I am trying to create take-offs for a deck design. I've created schedules to do that. Now to check myself I was wondering if there was a function where you could pull up a schedule then have all the objects in that schedule get "selected" or "highlighted" in the 3D model. If this were possible I would be able to assure myself that all the objects in the model (and not more) are also accounted for in the schedule, and visa-versa. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any other tips when trying to do small project take-offs. I'm on the border of wondering whether this is worth the time or not.

In your schedule, select an item (sorry only one at a time) and then press the select on floor plan icon and AC will highlight all those items in the plan view. The plan where the items are located has to be the active floor plan however.

Hope that helps
