IFC Merge

I can't figure out why the IFC merge dialogue box will not appear automatically with File>file Special>Merge as the Archicad IFC 2x3 Guide says it will.

Any ideas?

Try to set your Work Environment to the default.
Maybe the stored position of the Dialog is not within the boundaries of your monitor.

It is working for me.

You can open the dialogue box you want
File >File Special>Merge>IFC>Tree View

But before you can do that, I believe you need to activate the IFC add-ons: Options > Add-On Manager... > activate add-ons that begin with "IFC".

Thanks Laura. Although mine is working fine, I thought I remembered there was a way to turn this on/off but couldn't figure out where.

Here's the deal. I ended up reinstalling archicad. The .ifc file extensions was not available in the merge diolaque box file type for some reason. It is working now. Thanks for all the help.
