IFC - resizing IfcBeams?

I've searched the forums here, and I think i know the answer already, but here goes anyway:

Is there a way to easily resize IFC objects in Archicad 10?

I imported a timber frame IFC I created in another program, and although it looks great, I can't seem to stretch my IfcBeams to make them longer. I seem to be able to make them taller, but not longer.

When I go into the "Object Selection Settings" for the IfcBeam, "Custom Settings" is grayed out.

Any thoughts? or am I "stuck with what I got?"

Thanks,

Manny

. . . also, the multi-level-marquee will move, but not stretch the IfcBeams, even when I select "stretch" from the "Edit + Reshape" menu.

It's not just IFC objects. No library objects in Archicad can be stretched with the Marquee tool.

Simple elements like walls, slabs, roofs, etc. can, but not object based ones like doors, windows, & stairs.

Can you resize them by inputting a new length paramater?

Only if they are all the same length when you are done.

It's like any object, if they offset or are at an angle, you are out of luck
