License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If IFCSpace = AC Zone, what is IFCZone in AC?

Its recommended BIM Software allows for combining IFCSpaces (like AC zones) into larger entities (in IFCrepresented as IFCZone). As far as I can see there is no such a feature in ARCHICAD?
What is GS' concept of grouping zones - the categories?

You can't unfortunately deal with IfcZones in Archicad, nor have an equivalent to them.
You can only work with them (and associate IfcSpaces (AC Zones) into IfcZones (AC NOTHING) in the Ifc Manager.
And, what is sad is that you can't do it automatically...

Here is what the Help files say about this:

As Felipe pointed out, this cannot be done automatically, but in the lower left portion of the File>Interoperability>IFC>IFC Project Manager Dialog you can group IfcSpaces into IfcZones and you can even group several IfcZones into another IfcZone.

Thank you both! But of course grouping AC zones "manually" feels like there is some dev potential left 😉

Tuning zone categories BIM-wise would be nice?
