Import DWG tip - no attributes!!

This may be covered in great detail in the manual somewhere but I havent noticed it.

If you want a simple DWG added to your plan view you can do so without adding layers and other attributes.

Just drag the DWG file direct from your Mac finder (windows desktop) into the 2D view and you get a self contained drawing with no added nasties. Whilst layers cant be turned on or off or the lines used for magic wanding, all the lines are snapable and hotspoted
