If we agree that shells like this can not be modeled by ArchiCAD, and let's say it is Rhino or any other modeling software, what is BEST procedure for 3D model import to ArchiCAD?

I've not used it yet, so this is not an informed recommendation, but the capabilities of this add-on have taken a quantum leap.

I must say that DXF files are extremely big and ArchiCAD usually crashes.

I use for communication format .Obj (Wavefront) in ArchiCADu.

Thanks Stefan,
even if this API works for 8.0 (AC says it's outdated), I'm using 8.1 and I'll reinstall 7.0 for .obj import.
Hopefully I will have smooth edges. I found your posts and I'll test this API. We need it in 8.1, won't you agree?
