Importing Sketchup Components into ArchiCAD 11

I am brand spanking new to ArchiCAD 11. I've had one Jumpstart some months back, and have been using the program for about 2 weeks. Love it so far.

I am using ArchiCAD to design a 10-story Gothic/Industrial hotel for my Hospitality class. I found some components in the 3D Warehouse for Sketchup. I've installed the Add-On, copied my components to the Library folder on C:\ but cannot see them in ArchiCAD. Nothing in the Help Guide.

Am I missing something?

If they're Sketchup components, I guess you want to use them as library objects. You have to save them in a format that Archicad reads, and then open them as objects (see AC help) and re-save in Archicad.

I think to save them as 3DS in Sketchup works best, but DWG format will do too. I think you need Sketchup Pro do do this.

When you open the SketchUp file (version 5 ...) the Components should be translated into GDL objects and a library should be created in the folder that you specify.
