Listing in different units

Hi
I am listing Areas ( from Zones mainly) . is there a way to have it in the same schedule in different units ? ( i.e : Sq.m and Sq.ft ) ? if not ..then I am not sure how can I save 2 separate schedules with different units . the area units is affecting all the views .. am I missing something ?

Thank you .

Whatever,

OK this is the long way around (definitely not best in class).

Create copy of file, change unit type to SqFt,
go back to original file, place external view of schedule.
Now you have an internal schedule in SM and external schedule in SF

Like I said, ugly, but if you are in a hurry for an answer...

Save 2 Views of the generated Schedule.
Views store Dimensions settings.
One stored View should be saved with Metric Dimension Settings, the other with Imperial.
In the Project Preference Dialog, set the dimensions and save them so a named set is saved with the View. This way later you can check what dimension settings the View is saved with.

Snap, thank you ... I would never think of that .. my small brain asked me to print it out add a "custom field" and fill it out .. but will try the semi-automatic way you mentioned

Lazlo ... I am not sure if you have tried that ? because the dimension settings doesn't affect "as far as I can see" the schedule .. only by" calculation units" ... which is not saved with the dimensions .

Thank you guys.

whatever,
Sorry, you are right, I mixed up some things.
I checked it on a Schedule which has 2D and 3D Front View dimensioned and that changed based on the Project Preference setting.
But that is not what you were after, sorry for the mistake.

to be honest I don't understand why any one would list areas in both units ! but apparently these are the regulations here .. so maybe it can be a wish ?

Thank you again Laszlo.
