Log Wall Lists / Take-offs

Does the Calculate feature have access to the stack height of logs used?

I am trying to get a log take off list using the calculate method. What I want is a lineal feet of log list. As I play with, and study the Calculate menu and element lists and the such, I find ways of getting some really good information, but not what I am looking for.

The calculate option will give me a lineal feet of wall, but it does not figure, or I am unable to find the way of figuring, the number of logs in the wall. What I need is the lineal feet of log wall times the number of logs in the stack.

OR -

Another way is to take the lineal feet of the log wall (LFW), times the wall height (WH) divided by the stack height (SH), rounded up to the next full log.

LFW * (WH / SH)

Can Archicad do this for me?

Yes, this can be done. Please contact my office directly at (770) 424-2613 and we can set up a WebEx session to show you how this is done.

(this is actually sirduncan posting until they get my old login working)

I have recently been employed by a company that has LHS 1.7. Is there anywhere that I can get a manual? How do I do the log wall takeoff now? Any help would be appreciated.

I figured it out through the interactive scheduler and an excel spreadsheet.

If anyone else is looking for a way to get lineal feet of log, feel free to let me know, I'll be more than happy to share.
