Did you forget about VIZ Render? And now Mental Ray in AutoCAD 2007?
As a user of ArchiCAD and a teacher of ADT (yes, it's a strange combination) I'm still convinced about the features of ArchiCAD. That said, once you get a fully configured ADT or ArchiCAD, things are less far apart then at first sight.
The complexity of ADT and it's limited generated sections are probably the biggest problems the way I see it. Autodesk has a powerfull 3D engine and I'm curious to see how r.2007 might improve things.
