OSX c4d plugin

Not applicable
Hello brains trust,
Did anyone have ANY luck installing the c4d exchange plugin for AC10 under OSX?
I downloaded the update from www.maxon.net and followed the PDF istructions. ArchiCAD seems to simply ignore the new plugin.
It odesn't show in tha add-on manager, and can't be loaded manually.
I tried all sort of tricks, different loactions in the add-ons folder (there are other add-ons with similar file structure to the c4d one - spellcheck for example) and still nothing.
Please help, especially considering that I went to MAC because it has been rammed down my throat how "things just work"...

Yours in desperation,
greg

No damage done; glad you got your info. And yes, Dwight is great. And I am horrible - one of the treats of being a moderator 😉

Tom,
As it is an upgrade, did you do anything o the previous version plugin? Do you have a plugin file called "Cinema4d" within the V10?
Yes, that is exactly what I did to install it.
The AC4D does not show up in 2D or 3D window under File/SaveAs
Does Cinema 4d show up in your addons manager?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
BTW QT7 seems to be an Apple product and it can give you grief as well
It's kind of an upgrade, but not really. I dragged the new file into my add-ons. I did not have the AC9 add-on in my AC10 add-ons folder.

What problems have you had with QT7? I use it all day for basic video editing and have not had any problems.

Tom,
I am in contact with MAXON and we'll see what pans out with the plugin.
OT 7 pro, once filled up my hard disk (leaving 2MB free) while saving a movie.
Just the other day, when watchicg the MAC ads (trying to convince myself that it was a good idea to spend THAT much money on a laptop is a good idea) the whole thing went beserk. How funny considering that it was the one about the advantages of a MAC "home movie". See the JPEG.

DJ, right you are! There is no better coffee that a nice mocha in Florence.
With Dwight, I must admit I am being a bit cheeky. He was the first to reply questioning if I acutally own the plugin, and as it turned out he had nothing else to say about it, obviously just wanting to be important and needing attention, its OK, I can understand that.

cheers
