Opening dwg in archicad - "No elements were created"

Trying to open a dwg file in archicad but get the message "No elements were created", and nothing showes up, neither in the 2d or the 3d window... 

 

Is there a way of fixing the problem? (Or maybe another file format to choose from autocad which is compatible with archicad?)

How are you trying to open the DWG file? Using the Open command?

You can try placing a Drawing, then selecting the DWG file as its source. Does it bring the DWG file then?
