Is there a way of:
1. Pulling the wall Composite Core and Skins into Interactive Schedule?
2. Creating a custom text for a element like walls, then pulling it into the Interactive Schedule?Yes. Put your text in one of the "User Defined" fields and include that field in your IS field list via the additional params button for the subtype of your element.

Joseph wrote:Ah, you've found the Emporer's New Clothes. One would think that the fills assigned to skins of a composite would have some inherit meaning ... e.g., 1/2" GWB should be 1/2" GWB shouldn't it? Alas, no. It is just a 1/2" skin with fill whose name is "GWB" and AC has no logic to associate any information with that skin...or to automatically let us extract even the composite structure. Because of this, you can have a frame wall as you describe which comes up in a list as being made of CMU! Not very intuitive.
I am trying to make a schedule of walls which will contain the core of the wall as let say 2x4 @ 16" O.C., skins of "5/8" Gyp Brd" and "5/8" PlyWood" ........all these have been assigned to in Composites (same principle applies to floors and roofs composites). There is no calculations involved here, simply reading data and no need for property scripts. This seems to be a basic need of any Architectural/Structural plan (I do not know how other AC users note the type of walls used), but if this can not be done in I.S. I can deal with it but I can not even locate the Core or Skin informations in Element List, so I feel very lost. Thanks you in advance for any guidance.

Karl wrote:Karl thanks a million for not letting me to spin my wheels any further. I am going to create different Fill names for different walls and use the I.S. to create the schedules till GS comes up with an easier approach. I want to stay an Architectural / Engineer with AC know how and not the other way around.

But, you do realize that list schemes have no relation to the Interactive Scheduler (which started these questions)? The I.S. has it's own settings files (*.iss) and you cannot import list scheme information or otherwise convert it to an *.iss.
By the way when I create a new List by duplicating, when tring to save my new list I get the following message about List Scheme "LISTSET.TXT" to be over written; what could I be doing wrong?

List Scheme "LISTSET.TXT" to be over written
I've never seen it before and can't make it appear. But, you do realize that list schemes have no relation to the Interactive Scheduler

GS is very committed to resolving bugs of this nature...If all I can do is provide a little calm to your situation, rest assured. GS will take care of it!
and they mentioned it will be fixed in later version. Kind of lost what I am suppose to do. I thought this is some thing every one has encountered but I guess not, specially if Karl does not know. Any guidance?
Thanks,
