Hello everyone,
I’m interested in learning more about the 3D scanning tools and workflows that architects are currently using to create as-built documentation and 3D virtual walkthroughs, similar to those offered by Matterport.
What 3D scanners or scanning solutions would you recommend for capturing existing buildings and spaces? I would also appreciate hearing about your experiences with the accuracy of the scans, the quality of the resulting 3D models, and the ability to integrate the captured data into Archicad or other BIM software.
Are there any alternatives to Matterport that you have found particularly effective for architectural documentation and virtual walkthroughs?
Thank you in advance for sharing your recommendations and experiences!

Personally I have had great success with Twindo. All you need is an iphone/ipad to document the spaces.
I haven't used it for documenting projects in construction/etc, and I don't know how effective it would be for that, but as far as using it for documenting existing structures it works great.
