Hi all - I am new to Archicad are really don't know what I don't know. I need to bring in a revit file, which I did via a hotlink. According to the help and internet that is the best (and only?) way to bring in a revit file. For a variety of reasons I cannot get an IFC export from the other architects. When I bring the revit file in, it works like a charm except everything is filled with solid black. I have no idea how to change this. I tried both the options for materials on import, and it didn't seem to work. I can't actually manipulate the objects besides layers. I tried editing the materials that seemed associated with the revit file (per the options in the import dialog box). I need either no fill or a white fill and I just can't seem to figure out how. I'm sure it's a stupid simple answer, but I have not had any luck yet. Any ideas?

You can also try to open the RVT file in a separate Archicad instance, clean it up, and then hotlink it to your Project.
By "clean it up" I mean that maybe the settings are causing these black colors. I would check the background pens of fills, like cover fills of slabs, background fills set for library parts, etc. Maybe all those black areas are just one Pen and you can redefine the Pen from black to white and it solves it.
