Schedules Not Saving With File?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi all,

I'm experiencing a new problem, not sure what is going on...I've customized the window and door schedules, and named the Schemes, and they work great...until I close the ArchiCAD file- when I reopen it, the schemes are gone!
Do they not save with the file? That is, do I need to export and re-import each time? That seems unlikely.
Thoughts?

Thank you,

John

They are saved as part of the file, John... one has to explicitly export them to import them into another file.

Are you sure that the new schemes are gone, and not just a view of the schedule? If you go back to edit your schedule schemes, you're saying that what you created before is completely gone? Maybe post a screenshot showing your scheme list before/after so we really see what 'page' you're on.

If this is truly happening, it's a serious bug that nobody has talked about here before AFAIK.

Thank you for the reply, Karl. Yes, it was my understanding (and recollection from some time ago when I was last customizing schedules) that they saved with the file.
I am entirely willing to admit to user error. I will attempt to replicate the experience and let you know what I learn.
Thanks again.

Thanks. The only other thing I can think of is if you were using Teamwork and didn't have the schemes reserved... then any local changes would be lost after a send/receive.

Its fine; I'm baffled. If it happens again, I'll hunt this thread out and post. Thanks again!
