Schedules slowing down Archicad

Archicad is slowing down, and it seems due to schedules.

Each time I switch a view, even if just between 2 view map plans, I get this "Drawing Status Checking..." notification.

It takes about 20 to 30 seconds each time I switch between view maps before I can work again.

Is there a way to speed things up or to stop this "Drawing Status Checking" ?

Have you tried setting the Update Type to manual in lieu of automatic in the Drawing Selection Settings?

ArchiCAD since 8.0, currently on 22, waiting on 26, maybe...

I have set it to "manual" but I don't see any obvious increase in performance.

What I do find which is really scary is that the schedules do not update when I print.

So I can now very easily issue incorrect drawings.

Let me explain:

As a test:

First:

I changed one of the layers in the assembly.

Second:

I check the sheet where the schedule is placed, and it has not updated even though the wall has.

Third:

I click the update button in the layout book, but the schedule is still not updating, and is still wrong.

Only if I click on the individual schedule, right click, and then click update does the schedule actually update.

Do I have to do this for all the schedules, every time, if I set them to "update manually"?
