Setting IFC Type with custom classification

Anonymous

Hey everyone,

when i change the classifciation system of my building elements in ArchiCAD from the default classification to a custom one the IFC Type attribute in the element settings is set to IFCBuldingElementProxy for all elements. I could solve this for export by mapping the elements correctly in the IFC exporter but i was wondering if there was a place to set it correctly directly in ArchiCAD (its grayed out in the settings). My guess was to use the IFC Project Manager but it only gives me an "IFC preview" of my project and no settings. So im wondering where i can set the ArchiCAD internal mapping for the IFCType shown in the element settings? Thanks in advance!

Ok thought it would be well suited since its a BIM relatetd question. Still anyone has an idea how to solve this?

Anyone knows how to do this? It is still a missing piece in the BIM workflow our office is trying to achieve.

I assume you have the latest AC version (22)...
You'll have change it in the IFC Translator : go to the settings in Type Mapping part and click on "Map IFC Types for Export..."
