Trouble w/ Autocad 2008 DWGs

Is anyone having trouble w/ opening autocad 2008 DWGs? I had a surveyor save it down to Autocad 2004 - but when it opens the file is empty even thought the original DWG is 3M.

Still on Archicad 9 ( $$$ =[ )
any suggestions?

You won't be able to open Autocad 2008 drawings on Archicad 9. I think you will need Archicad 11 for that.

Download free DWG True Convert from Autodesk and convert the 2008 files to what you can read.

Yeah, you're right. AC11 only opens Autocad 2008.
