COBie manual clearly states that you need to break hotlink module to add archicad zone to IFC Zone.
Similar note is shown for IFC System.
I have ca. 100 hotlinks in the project and need exchange data regularly. I wouldn't like to break all those hotlinks and assign spaces to IFC Zone and sanitary fittings to IFC System manually every time when I export data.
Is there any way to overcome it? Do you have any experience you can share?

Can you create the Zones in the host file instead of creating them in the individual Hotlinked Modules?

I know I could do that, but it is painful when you need to update project. It might be not that time consuming for zones but it start to be an issue for sanitary fittings.
I wish there's a way to assign elements to IFC Zone and IFC System in hotlink file, especially that I use ice berg method to create mod files.
