License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. dxf-dwg translators missing

I was using publisher in AC 11 when I received a failed message. When I clicked on it I received the following pop-up: "dxf-dwg translators missing".
I've been using publisher since AC8 and this is the first time I've seen this.
Any clues on how to fix it? I searched the manual with no luck.

Hi Bob

When you installed your version of AC11, did u opt for importing working environments from previous versions of ArchiCAD, and then you removed those previous versions of ArchiCAD from your system?

There is a possibility that ArchiCAD was unable to locate the translator setup files that you had selected when publishing the drawings.

No, I dida straight install, probably the week AC 11 came out, months ago.

check these two folder locations . . .

./Applications/Graphisoft/ArchiCAD 11/Defaults/DXF-DWG Translators/

~/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/DXF-DWG Translators/

the first is the location of the default set that ship with archicad, the second contains a copy of the first, any custom translators made, and (i think!) the set the of translators that archicad actually uses. if the second folder is empty, they have somehow been deleted from your system: copy the contents of the first into it. you will have lost any custom translators you've made unless you have a backup somewhere. if so, they can be re-imported using the DXF-DWG Translation Setup... dialogue box using the 'Browse...' button.

if they are still both intact i would suspect a permissions problem: i.e. archicad is somehow blocked from getting access to your home folder library . . . repair your permissions and have another go . . .

let us know how you get on . . .

The second file (/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/DXF-DWG Translators/)there at all. I believe I have seen the file in application support before but now there is no sign of it. I searched with spotlight and can't locate it.

just to be sure: that's <YOUR HOME FOLDER>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/DXF-DWG Translators/... rather than the system libraries?

try recreating it and copying those other files across. what's worrying is that it's not there at all. have you had a clean out?!

No I haven't had a clean out.

Bob:

I think where Ben is telling you to look is:
Macintosh HD > Users > "your user name" > Library > Application Support > Graphisoft > DXF-DWG Translators > ...

In my installation, the translators originally reside here:
/Applications/Graphisoft/Archicad11/Defaults/DXF-DWG Translators/

However, some edited translators seem to end up here:
Macintosh HD/Users/<My short accountname>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/DXF-DWG Translators/

Any other location is simply wrong. And if you can't find them with Spotlight, repair permissions (or do a complete cleanout with for exaple OnyX as described elsewhere in this forum) and then re-install Archicad!

Thanks David.
It is there.
Does it need to be reloaded?
