Sure. When the schedule is displayed on your screen, go to File/Save as/ and choose Exell file format.

It is worth noting that any images on the schedule won't be saved when doing this from AC13, but I understand this is fixed in AC14.

Yes, 14 creates a formatted Excel sheet including images. Attached is a quickie with no attention paid to pen colors etc showing the interactive schedule on to top and the Excel workbook on the bottom - created from the schedule via File > Save As > Excel Workbook. Imagine that publishing gives the same result, but didn't try.
