hy users !
I am not an archicad user !
I built my house and the architect gave me the 3d files (pln and bpn). Version 12 ! I don't know what these files are.
I am a mechanical designer and I work on TOPSOLID or solidworks.
Could someone export me to a file that is compatible with my CAD?
that would be cool.
thank you so much

I checked the file types Topsolid and Solidworks can open, and since neither can open IFC files, I think the only option here is to try to save DWG files from the 3D Window of ARCHICAD and try to open that.

The PLN file type is ARCHICAD's own file type. You should ask the architect to save a DWG file from the 3D Window. If he saves from the Floor Plan Window, only 2D will be saved, this is why he needs to save from the 3D Window.

Can you get the file in PLA format? It is an archive format, which is the equivalent of a PLN file plus all library objects placed into the file. If you use only the PLN file, a lot of geometry might be missing from the file.
