we were really looking forward for this tool
yet there is a great BUT:
it is causing crashes in interaction with other useful tools
our special situation :we are in a test-run for bimcollab, and for reasons unclear to the support-team of Kubus, too, whenever we tried to connect to the bcf-server, archicad 28 crashed - completely, without warning, leaving the PC in a state where restarting Archicad ended in looping crashes
by disabling the add-ons 1-by-1, we found out, that without bimmtools, working with all the other features, esp. bimcollab, is back to normal
I do wonder, why such unstable, and I add: with its licensing system : poorly overprotecting add-on can be released into the wild
anybody having similar experiences ?
(and no, it's neither special hardware / graphics cards etc. nor special version of Archicad 28)

So, you expect the makers of BIMtools (which works fine on its own) to test their tool works with BIMcollab, which you are only just test now yourself?
Maybe it is a problem with BIMcollab not working well with other add-ons, rather than the other way around.
I have no idea what the fault may be or who is responsible.
You should get in touch with both developers and make them aware of the problem.
Maybe there is a simple solution?
Barry.

thankt for your indicatiosn : we actually did contact both companies before this post
in this forum, it seem appropriate to address problems resulting of add-ons;
bimcollab works, when the bimmtool add-on ist deleted from the add-ons directory; as this works for us, I think it might be helpful for other users (isn't this a forum for users ?)
you were hinting that we were merely testing bimcollab: no, we need to actively work with it; and we need and expect a stable environment based on the actual graphisoft software
So perhaps somebody reacts who is actually using one, or both of these add-ons and has already adressed it or found a solution

That is good.
As creators of these add-ons, I think they will need to work together to find the issue.
At least I hope they will.

Sure, you can mention any problems you like here and discuss possible solutions.
But add-ons are made by 3rd parties, so it is best to contact them with any problems.

Just going by what you wrote in your previous post about doing a test run .... our special situation :we are in a test-run for bimcollab, ...

We from BIMm Solutions, vendor of BIMmTool, are aware of this problem since 29th of July. We contacted BIMcollab support immediately and we are waiting for feedback from them since then. It's currently unclear what or who is causing the crash. We ask for your understanding that we cannot test our add-on with all add-ons available on the market. This would exceed our resources and costs, unnecessarily increasing the price of the software. In these cases, we strive to resolve the issues promptly with the other party. However, we rely on their cooperation. We will inform you here as soon as there is any progress.
Best Regards

Thank you, Mr. Schweigardt: I very much appreciate your swift reaction here and in our direct contact.
It's impossible to test against all odds, and having contacted Kubus as well, I am looking forward to answering them in the near future
if it would be possible, I had the subject changed to "troubles with bimcollab", so sorry for having highlited your product instead ...
