CMU material fill for sections

Eric Milberger
Advocate

I am creating CMU walls

In the plan they are fine with hatching

But in isometric view or sections it looks like concrete.

Has anyone created a material fill that looks like CMU when you cut thru the wall?

In 3D views you will see the material - not the plan/section hatch.

Even if you cut with a marquee.

You have a choice of 'Hardware' (OpenGL) engine in which case you will see a texture image or 'Vectorial' engine where you will see the material colour and you have the option to show vectorial hatching in the 3D Style settings.

In section you should be seeing the same hatch as your plan, unless you have the option on (AC25) to show textures.

Can you show an image of what you mean?

Maybe I am not understanding properly.

Versions 6.5 to 27
Dell XPS- i7-6700 @ 3.4Ghz, 16GB ram, GeForce GTX 960 (2GB), Windows 10

An example - Place a CMU wall in the model

Open the Model View

I see the pattern of the CMU on the wall that is a fair representation.

But the Ends to top of the wall does not show.  May not be a necessary item.

Again can you please show an image of the problem.
