Dimensions Visibility

Hello Guys,

I have a question about dimensions visibility, in ArchiCAD, the dimensions are not view dependent as in Revit, if a dimension is created on level 01 code plan, it will also appear on level 01 construction plan.

So what is the best way to control the visibility of dimensions in different plans? I hope the answer is not a layers....

Guess what

Layers is your answer.
Create a dimension layer and two layer combinations - one with the dim layer on and one with it off.
Then set the appropriate layer combination with each view of your plan.

Thanks Barry,

I've been using Revit for many years now and I don't like to go back to use layers, in my case this means creating a separate dimensions layer for each type of plans, construction, demo, RCP's.... , creating layer combination for those plans and making sure the dimensions are on the right layer. it seems to be a cumbersome management issue, I prefer the view-dependent elements concept used in Revit.
