A10 Ghost Plan Versus A11 Trace

Not applicable
In A11, I can not get my second floor walls to appear on the second floor when I draw them above the reference 1st floor Trace.
I get this message: "As a result of the last operation, elements have been created and/or changed their position on currently unseen stories." The choise of: undo or continue is given.
Do you mean to tell me that, we can not use trace like Ghost Plan? This is a very important issue. Please tell me what I must be doing wrong? I need to continue working, or I may have to go back to A10.
Thanks

I don't think this is a ghost plan versus Trace issue at all.

Refer to the manuals - version 10 and 11 - read up on the definition of the element's home storey (esp. version 11) and the projection methods for wall (beams, columns, slabs, roofs as well). Elements are storey sensitive, but by default they also change their home storey automatically depending on the elevation they are placed at and how tall they are. Sounds like you need to disable the automatic assignment of the home storey and select it by name.

You should check in the floor plan display
and choose the " all relevant stories"

Yes, you were right. I had the wrong Floor Plan Display selected. Thanks
