AC v.12/Dimensions Text Not Centered

Hi in v.12 we're having an issue in a project where the dimension text is all to the far right of the dimension line.

Just some of it was at first, so we went to project preferences adns aid revert all text to automatic location, and then it shifted all dim. text to the ends of the lines.

Where am I supposed to be setting the automatic position from?

was it a migrated file or a copied dimension chain? i had a similar problem during beta - the only way i could clear it was deleting the dimension chain and beginning again. thought that they might have it nailed. sorry.

It was a migrated file, but all the dimensions that were created when it was in v.11 stayed hwere they were supposed to, until we did Revert to Automatic Text position.
but all the ones in 12 were, from the begining, off centered.
It's not all projects either, just this one.
