Archicad as its finest

Screenshot 2026-06-24 at 10.39.39 AM.pngCornes warping in the corners.

Again.. Is this an error or just archicad being as outdated as always

If these are Lines/Polylines, then symbolic lines always get funky at corners, its been like that ever since I remember.

More information required.

Are these lines or walls?

What are we looking at and how did you model it?

Usually if you draw/model elements to be straight, they will be straight.

Simple polyline tool. Just drew a rectangle with 4 points

There is no reason for the vector to warp like that in the corners. Nor does it look good. Hence I can see this has been the case for years.
which is why i was wondering if this was an error or a glitch

Can you show the Lines Dialog with the definition of the Line type you are using?

I see, you have created a symbol line.

If you just copy and paste the pattern it will be centered on the reference line as you draw the polyline.

I don't know why, but with a polyline, the corners will be distorted towards the reference line.

If you add a hotspot to your symbol lines and offset that by the width of your lines, you will force the symbol lines to adjust the centre so now one of the lines will be on the reference line of the polyline and will not be distorted.

The other side still gets distorted.

The hotspot side is also being distorted, but there is nothing there to see.

Drawing the same with lines (or explode the polylines) is a little better, but the corners will not trim.

The direction your draw the lines / polylines, also has an effect.

I think just lines will be your best choice.

I don't think you will win with polylines and a custom symbol linetype.
