I'm looking to add some depth to my elevations and as such am seeking a way to adjust the outline of walls without changing any opening outlines made by elements such as doors or windows. Ideally I would want a way for this to be achieved through a graphic override rather than having to manually annotate over the elevation elements as if any adjustments are made to the model itself the elevations would change accordingly. I have attached a screenshot of what happens when I change the graphic override of a wall below.

I'm actually using this same technique however for some reason when changing the line weights of the wall elements it changes all the opening line weights too

the opening lines are controlled by either the Model View Options, or overridden by the door / window settings.
i'm unsure if it's possible to override an attribute that deep in the element settings.
you might have to create a specific Model View Option for these elevations using different pens for opening lines.

Sorry i should clarify when I say opening lines I don't mean door/window swings but the actual opening in the wall. I have attached two screenshots to see the before and after of what the wall looks like when overriding the line types. As you can see, the border around the windows and doors also change which is not desired. I just want the overall exterior outline of the wall to change.

hmm -- i think that outline of the window/door is actually the outline of the wall, which already has the thicker pen line override used everywhere else.
it's a workaround, but you may have to add some kind of border around the window, say, modelling a Casing that's wide enough to hide the wall penetration outline.
