I am trying to get my existing elements in elevations and sections to have a 25% cover fill, which I have got to work a couple of ways, but then it doesn't show in the drawing on the layout.
The two methods I used were to change the fill type to 25% for the material I use for existing elements in the Renovation Override Styles, and the second was to just change the fill type in the Renovation Override Styles. As I said, both of these work in the elevation/section view, but not on the layout.
So is there something I am missing in the model view options, renovation filters, drawing tool options, or elsewhere? Or will this just not work?
Thanks
Ben

You need to check that the View (from the View Map in the Navigator) placed on the Layout has the correct Renovation Filter settings (Renovation Override Styles). One way to trace this back is to select the Drawing on the Layout, then right-click and select Open Source View from the context menu.

What I have since found is that what I was seeing on the screen as a 25% fill was actually just ArchiCAD's adjustment of pen colours (from white to grey). It seems that method 1 that I described will work for vectorial fills, but not solid fills.
But now I am having another problem, where some of my existing elements are working differently to the rest. I have attached two screenshots showing the problem and my renovation filter settings. In both images the ridge tiles and window frames are showing as solid, which is different to everything else (everything in the screenshots is existing). Screenshot 2 shows what I am trying to achieve, with a vectorial fill modified to look solid (although it's a bit hard to tell except for the shadows, but it works on the layout).
But of course these settings create another problem, since renovation override styles cannot be changed between filters, where my existing walls in plan will have their original fills, the same as new elements.
I hope I've made clear what I am trying to achieve, so can anyone suggest a way of doing it which is quicker than manually applying a fill over the elevation?

The first image (Screenshot 1.jpg) is not showing, try reattaching it.

I am not clear on the issue, as I cannot see any vectorial fill on any of the elevations. Check your Elevation Settings > Model Display > Uncut Elements > Fill Uncut Materials (Surfaces) with: Nothing, and Vectorial 3D Hatching: checked. I don't know why some of the Existing Elements are using a different material, do they appear the same in the 3D Window with the same Renovation settings?

Anyway, I have just tried using a 'proper' vectorial fill, with a bright coloured pen, for my existing material's cover fill, and found that the equivalent of screenshot 1 shows the vectorial fill only on the window frames and ridge tiles, but in my grey existing element pen, while screenshot 2 equivalent shows the exact same thing on the window frames and ridge tiles, but the vectorial fill in the bright coloured pen on all the other existing elements. So I have only changed the cover fill type and colour to achieve these results. I can upload another couple of screenshots if necessary.
