Display order issuse with stairs in plan

I have a sofa under my staircase, however, despite how much I change the objects cut or uncut fill it still displays it as a solid above the stairs in plan view.

If anyone can help me please I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Operating system used: Windows

Looks like you've got some reference manual reading to do. 😀

All elements have a default display order.

As stairs and the sofa are both objects, they will have the same default display order, but the one you place last will show on top.

Have you tried adjusting the display order (EDIT menu > Display Order)?

Send the sofa backwards or bring the stairs forward.
