Drawing Manager updates

I am running AC18UKI solo which keeps putting me on a merry-go-round whenever I want to publish drawings as per the image below. Am I missing a simple setting or is there an easy way to force AC to read and update all the drawings?

This seems to crop up whichever way I approach the update process either with Drawing Manager or the Navigator - layout book.

Solved: Any view placed in a layout has to be on an unlocked layer before it can be updated or even read!

Not sure if this is a good thing as it means you can't fix the position of views on a layout.

Has this been a problem for others?
