License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

EXISTING...DEMOLITION...TO NEW?

see attached.
need to take some objects out, put them in a "demolition" filter phase, then that "hole" that is left I need to show it in plan/elevation/section that it's been filled in by a "NEW WALL'.....but I don't want to have to:
a) take out the window in demolition filter to then have to insert a 'hole' in exactly the same place in order to then...
b) fill that hole which will reside in the wall that stays as "existing"

there's got to be a better way to do this graphically.

You can't add criteria to those rules because all they do is override the visual appearance of elements based on their renovation status.
The Renovation Filters came along before the Graphical Overrides which is probably why they did not allow the criteria to be added to them - so as not to affect the status quo.

However you can create a new rule and under the 'Identification' criteria you can select 'Show on renovation Filter' and add that as a criteria.
That is still not quite what you want but in version 21 you will also be able to add 'Renovation Status' as a criteria as well.

As far as I know the GO rules will be applied first and then the RF rules will be applied.

Has this been solved in 21?

The initial problem still exists with windows and the automatic infill.

If you demolish a window or door, there will be a 'new' bit of wall in the new situation. There are 5 stages in my renovation filters (translating from dutch here): existing, elements to be demolished, situation after demolished, elements to be built, new. You can show, hide and override the existing, demolished and new elements and do lots of hiding, intersection, fills etc settings. I do not think we had these options in the past versions. This is all ArchiCAD20 I'm looking at right now, so 21 will have that and maybe even more.

What you are searching for is the renovation filter "After Demolition", not the "Demolition Plan".
You cannot build a line.
