Element ID's, Detail Identification Number and Schedules

Problem:

I have a storefront with doors on my project. I want to tag the doors and have them appear on a door schedule as well as tag the entire storefront itself for it to appear on a storefront schedule.

I have tried 2 approaches:

1. Making a curtain wall where 2 of the panels are doors. Then giving an ID to the storefront and making the marker show it (that part works and the storefront can appear on the storefront schedule) then giving a separate ID to the door within the curtain wall (I can do that) but I cannot pull a tag for it nor make it appear on the schedule.

2. Placing 2 doors next to each other (each of them a storefront door to complete the storefront). I can ID each individually and have them appear in the door schedule but cannot for the life of me pull a second tag for the complete storefront. Even when I give one of them a "Label" and make the label show a "Detail Identification Number" the tag will appear but I cannot make it feed into the storefront schedule.

HEELP!!

BECAUSE A SCHEDULE CAN PULL ITEMS BASED ONLY BY ELEMENT ID AND NOT DETAIL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FEED IT INTO A DOOR SCHEDULE AND A STOREFRONT SCHEDULE

Hi,
In order to tag the Doors within the Curtain Wall, you have to activate a Floor Plan View, then go to you r menu: Design/Modify Curtain Wall/Label All Elements then you can select which elements you want to label.

To show the doors in a Schedule you have to use a separate Schedule. The reason is because these doors are actually Panels in a Curtain wall, not regular Doors. So create a schedule with the following criteria: Element Type -is - Panel / / and / / Panel Type - is - CW Door 2 17. You can change the criteria to fit your needs.

Hope it helps
