Excluding labels from the Label type and preview panel?

I created a custom label and saved it in my embedded library, but I don't want it visible in the Label selection settings type and preview panel. Is there any way to exclude it or even sort these labels into separate folders?

I don't believe so. I would save the label off and place it into a custom library rather than be embedded. Then you could load / unload the library as you need the label.
