GRID TOOL AT DIFFERENT DRAWING SCALES

Anonymous
Not applicable
The floor plan for a one storey building is set to 3/32"= 1'-0".

I need to show some details at various scales: 3/16", 1/2" and 1 1/2" = 1'-0".

As shown in the attachment, the grid tool marker remains at a reasonable visual size when I increase a section from 3/32" to 3/16".

However, when I increase a detail up to 1 1/2" the grid tool marker is huge. My understanding is that I need to create a layer at 1 1/2" for the grid lines, create a combo that includes this layer and not the layer with the grid at 3/32", and things should be ok.

As per attachment, I am missing something. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the graphical capabilities of the Grid Element Marker are hard-wired into it (meaning they cannot be controlled by changing parameters). Also they are set in printed units, not model units, and therefore they become smaller or larger relative to the model as you change the scale. Also, the Grid Element has no scale-sensitive settings so they the Marker could be different sizes depending on scale.
So yes, I think you should just create a new Layer for the other scale and place additional Grid Elements for the other scale.
