Gain more workspace by hiding Info Box headers in Archicad

As Archicad projects grow, the Info Box can quickly become crowded with tool options and settings, reducing your available workspace. This article shows a simple way to customize the Info Box so you can work in a cleaner, more focused interface.

Issue description

When working on complex projects, the Info Box can become crowded with headers and panels, reducing the amount of available workspace. A cluttered interface can make it harder to navigate tool settings and slow down your workflow.

Solution

A practical way to reclaim screen space is to hide the header texts in the Info Box. This simple adjustment simplifies the palette, creating more room in the work area while keeping all tool options accessible.

To do this:

  1. Hover over the Info Box palette.
  2. Right-click to open the context menu.
  3. Select the option to “Hide Header Texts”

In the same context menu, the palette can be further customized by selecting the Info Box… option.

Here, it is possible to change the order and visibility of panels in each Tool’s Info Box:

The outcome

By hiding header texts and customizing panel visibility in the Info Box, you can reduce clutter and keep tool options accessible, resulting in a more open and efficient workspace.
