Grid elements in Sections and elevations

Hi

I've only just realized that you can erase grid lines in the S/E windows without actually deleting them in the file, i.e. they are intact in the plan window and all other S/E windows.

So how do I get them to reappear in the S/E windows if I want them to show up again? Is there an elusive reset button somewhere? I've even tried cutting + pasting them in the plan view and then regenerating the section but that did not work.

Thanks

It is a feature. When you delete a Grid in Elevation it just hides it for that view.
Check the Grid Tool settings in the Elev settings.

Thanks gentlemen. Good to know that it's way easier and more straightforward in v17. But do you know how do I do this in v16 where the Section + Elevation settings windows don't have this feature?

In my version of 16US it is available for both elevations and sections and this doesn't look like something that would be different with Int.

Just tried it and it works the same.

Ahhh...Finally ! Took a bit of work to figure out what was going on. I could not see this panel in the Dialog Box or Info Box. This is the first time I have come across a Tool Setting that was turned off in the Work Environment.

Thanks for the help. Would never have found that otherwise.
